 Does fmp supports form upload on Mac

Hi,

probably you noticed already several times some web sites do use an
other system to post information beside ftp or telnet.
It uses an added function to the HTML code (from version 3.2 on I
think).
There is only one draw-back: the server must accept and understand this
code.

My question:
Can FileMaker (and the web-companion plug-in) handle such types of forms

??
Is it possible to add a CGI to the web-companion functions ??
If it is, does anyone has such a cgi for on a Mac ?

The HTML command for such an action is commonly:
<FORM ENCTYPE="MULTIPART/Form-data"
ACTION=" http://www.***.com/ ; METHOD=POST>
<INPUT NAME="userfile" TYPE="file">
<INPUT TYPE="submit" VALUE="Send File">
</FORM>
This gives in HTML a field with a browse button and a submishion button.

Here the CGI would be called "upload", and placed in the "cgi-bin"
folder !!

PS: I use Mac ...

Thanks

Vincent Fransman

It's all built-in.

Web companion generates these type of forms when you ask it to
accept changes to a database.  Have a play with the instant publishing
facilities of Web companion and enable the bit where it accepts new
records into a database.
