 QuickTime and Web Companion

I'm trying to create a format file to return a page containing a
QuickTime movie from my database "movies.fmp".

Since I understand that Web Companion doesn't support QuickTime, I've
tried to set this up so that the movie referenced in the Current Record
can be accessed by it's URL which is contained in the field "Location".
But, all I get is a "plug-in" icon in return. The html in question is
the EMBED tag in the last paragraph of the code below.

Any ideas what I may be missing here or suggestions for a workaround? An
email reply in addition to the NG post would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

 QuickTime and Web Companion

If that movie is being served by the Web Companion, make sure that the movie is within a sub-folder of the
"Web" folder within the FMP application folder.

"Web" is as high up as the Web Companion will allow people to go, for obvious security reasons.

hope this helps!  =)

You hav to tell Filemaker that the field contains an URL , so it should
look like this [FMP-Field: Location URL]

 QuickTime and Web Companion

In a separate post (and email copy, thank you), Jean Francois Fortin set
me in the right direction. I'm using the following successfully:

<EMBED SRC="[FMP-Field: Location, HTML]" W=320 H=240
PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.apple.com/quicktime" AUTOPLAY=true
CONTROLLER=false>

I still had trouble delivering the movies (the HTML was coming out
clean), so I moved them to my WebTen server running on the same Mac. For
some reason, FMPro (4.0v2) was not cooperating; may just need a clean
install...

Thanks for the help!
