FileMaker Pro 5 fields being cut off when extracting data through ODBC in Visual Basic.

Hi

I'm currently working on an application to convert different types of
database files into MDB files using Visual Basic 5. So far I have covered
tab-return text databases and File Maker Pro 5 databases. However, when I
try to convert File Maker Pro 5 files I can end up having fields containing
more than 255 characters cut off at the 255th character. Is there any way
round this? I am connecting to File Maker Pro 5 through ODBC and have made
sure that the destination fields are of type Memo. I have also set the Max
Text Length of the ODBC driver to 64000.

All help gratefully received.
