 Help Setup (Print Layout with a Portal)

What I need help with is printing a report.  I have a portal on a layout of
a report that may have many records.  When I am trying to design the layout
to print multiple pages if all of the portal records do not fit on the first
page.  The problem I am having is that from what I understand the portal has
to be a predefined amount of rows and sometimes there are still more records
in the portal that are not visable.  I have tried to setup the layout to
have 2 pages so it will print the records in the portal that cannot be seen.
Now the records from the main file print 2 pages even if they have no
records in the portal.  Can anyone help?
Thanx  - Joe

 Help Setup (Print Layout with a Portal)

I usually create printed reports in the related file.  If you use the
related file, then each record is a row and any info from the master file
can be displayed by setting up a relationship from the related file back to
the master file, using the same IDs that point the master file to the
related one.
Alternately, I have seen people create a number of different versions of the
layout in the master file.  In the script do something like
if count(relatedfile::id) <10
    go to layout onepage
end if
else
    if count(relatedfile::id) <20
        go to layout twopages
    end if
end if

For each layout, display the number of rows that will fill that many pages.
