I'm trying to extract records from MS Access 2000 into Filemaker Pro 5. I
want to do
this manually at first, and then automatically.

However, I am stuck at the first hurdle as if I try to import records, I try
and change the file type to 'ODBC Data Sources' but it is not listed.

Please help, I need to get this up and running within 4 weeks time!

I suspect the old Custom Install problem. This option fails to install ODBC
support. Try this: uninstall Filemaker then re-install using the Standard
option.
