 Administering Server hosted Databases

Hi erverybody,

Ive got serveral databases now hosted by my new FM Server 5.5 (RedHat
7.2) which are protected by a user standard password, which is
automatically used at opening. The normal way to administer such
protected databases is to go to the Host, press the shift key at
opening with FM Pro and enter the admin password at the prompt.
How can I get to my databases without buying a new Linux Client
Version of FM 5.5 which could additionally run on the Server computer?

One long winded way would be, to stop the Server, copy the databases
to a Windows client machine, use FM Pro to open them, add new
features, fields, whatever and copy them back to the server machine.
There should be a more elegant solution, right?

Thanks for any help,

Heiko

You can add new features, fields, layouts, relationships, scripts all
from a LAN client. You only need to do the above procedure for a very
few things, like changing password settings.
