FMP ACCOUNTING package please....
I was hoping someone more knowledgable about AR and GR software would reply,
but here is what I understand.
Intuit is not FMP friendly, either in Quicken or in Quickbooks. MYOB
provides more useful hooks for AR, but General Ledger work is probably best
left to software designed for that purpose, particularly if strict
accounting rules (meaning auditing is likely) need to be followed.
Filemaker can build great invoicing systems, meaning all the stuff that
happens up to when a transaction becomes a receivable. It can do pretty well
managing AR's. There are some semi shrink wrap FMP based solutions available
that will do most of what you want, but they are expensive. But, while
possible, it is complex, difficult work tying FMP to the software you
mention, and it is unlikely you will find an inexpensive solution that does
what you want.
