Calculated Auto-Enter

 Calculated Auto-Enter

In my point of sale app each of my customers have a discount level from 1-10
(field name ptbl) [number field type].  My products each have 1-10 different
prices i.e.. plevel1, plevel2 etc.  When the user enters a customer id on
the invoice, the header has a lookup field called Invoice_Header::PRICE_LEVE
[number field type] which gets filled with that customers discount level
(ptbl).
I created an auto-enter calculated value in Invoice_Items::Price [number
field type]--
If(Invoice_Header::PRICE_LEVE=1,Product::PRICE1,Invoice_Header::PRICE_LEVE=2
,Product::PRICE2,. . .,0) I continued this calculated value through the
number 10.
The problem is the calculated auto enter is not picking up the respective
price, I always get a 0.  I have placed a test on the Inv header-PRICE_LEVE
as follows -- case(PRICE_LEVE=1,1,PRICE_LEVE=2,1,....,0) to test that the
price leve is actually a number, and it evaluates to 1.

Any help appreciated.

I'm not sure about this, but you say the customer enters the ID. If the
price level field on the invoice is auto-enter, it has already been
entered by this time, so it will be zero (no price level when the record
was created). Could you make it a calculated field instead?
