 Scipting Question

I have a database that tracks admissions candidates for our school. Each
record has a field, Matriculation Status, which is changed to "Yes" when I
want to tag that record for export to the Student Body database. The problem
I am having is that once tagged, I have not been able to get that field data
to change so that the next time I export the new students, the ones I've
already exported do not export again.

I have tried a variety of ways to get the field to change to "Done" with
little success....

I tried the following script:

Perform Find [Restore] (Finds all records with "Yes" in Matriculation
Status)
Go to Record/Request/Page [First]
Loop
Paste Literal [Select, "Matriculation Status", "Done"]
Go to Record/Request/Page [Exit after last, Next]
End Loop

It works fine when I run it, however, when I run the script as from within a
script as the first command, followed by commands that export those records,
then it does not work. None of the records reflect the change to the
Matriculation Status field.  The records do successfully get exported and
imported into the other database...

What am I doing wrong?

Get rid of the loop and use the Replace step instead (much more efficient).
And make sure the "Matriculation Status" field is on the current layout
when the script is run (required for either the Replace or Paste steps).

Change your looping paste literal to use the "replace" command instead.
Make sure you have a backup when first learning this scriptmaker step. The
online help has a good description on how to use it.
