 LineNb in Line Items

Im shure there must be an easy way to do this, but Im confused by all
the choices.

What I want to do is to get unique line numbers for each of the records
in my Line Item file, based on ordrer# and customerID. Ill use this for
identification in my Invoice file when the <Go to Portal Row, By
Number...>-step runs.

Some help would be nice...;-)

Why don't use the "go to related records" command with "show only related"
option ?
I alwas use this method.

Diego.

Ill try to explain this better:

The <Go to Portal Row, By Number>-step works as its supposed to and I
use it in my Invoice file for situations like:

1. Changing product on a spesific row
2. Changing price on a specific row

As it is now I have to count the rowes from top to see what row I want
the changes to go to. It would be better to identify each row by number,
and the number used must be in range 1-15; same as the portal rows
showing up. Ill think it must be based on a calculation, since I want
the numbers to update if a portal row is deleted.

Sorry if my poor english could make it hard for both explaination and
understanding.

You can create a button into the portal row layout, that perform a command
script "go to related records" with option "show only related". So each row has
a button and when you click on it on a specific row, you'll jump exactly at the
specific record row, then you can change price, product and all that you want.
