 List As View??? Help Please

Is there anyway that I can change the List As View as I change data.
What I mean is, that I am controlling the data flow with a input
number.  For example, I have this field which is just a 10 characters.
Once I type in the number, the number is put into a form.  The form has
other data on it and I only want the the List As View button to just
list the data associated with the number on it.  I go back to enter a
new number for the data input, and the type in a new set of data in the
fields. I get a new record by it is on the same list.  Is there anyway
that I can change the List View so that it will give me a clear list for
the different set of data for the input number?  Can anybody help me
with this.  I am new with the FileMaker Pro 4.0.  If you still don't
understand what I am trying to do, please e-mail me and I will try to
explain it again in a different way.

Toney:
You need to script your data entry to toggle between two different
layouts. Start in Layout 2, your Form View. When you hit a "new record"
script button it should trigger a script that looks like this...

Go to Layout (List View)
New Record/Request
Pause/Resume Script

[at this point the script will pause while you enter your 10 characters,
hit ENTER to resume, not Return, not Tab]

Go to Layout (Form View)
Go to Field (Field Name)

[this will put you into the NEXT field you want to enter data into and
stop the script.  Next time you want a new record, hit that button
again.]

Note that you are using TWO different layouts. You cannot toggle View as
List and View as Form with the Scriptmaker.
