 Sliding portals for printing
I wonder if there is a way to slide portal rows for printing. What I
want is the size of the portal to change proportionally to how much text
a portal has.

Is it possible? I have played around with the sliding/printing options
but cannot make it work.

No I'm afraid that I do not believe that is possible to do.

Two workarounds:
1)  Rebuild the layout in the related file.  This does impose some limits on
what you can do (you can't have two portals side-by-side for example) but in
most cases works remarkably well.

2) You can use a script to enter the contents of the portal rows into a
single (global) text field, for the purpose of printing. The success of this
method depends largely on the data you are printing. You have reasonably
good freedom to arrange and format the text (although "right aligned" fields
or other such things can be tedious to build.) but you sacrifice being able
to alternate the background colour, or have "borders" between rows. Then you
put this one large text field on the print layout. One other limitation is
the 65000 character limit of the field.

You can not make portals slide, but you COULD do your report in the database
that the portal is referencing and bring all other data into the report via
relationship. This way you could slide your data.
