we are using Filemaker versions from 3.0 to 4.1 on both MacOS and
Windows NT4. I've developed an image cataloging solution for our
workflow
and I use the PICT format 'Quicktime compressed JPEG' to save previews
and
thumbnails in Filemaker.
This all works fine with MacOS, but the Windows versions of Filemaker
from 3.0 to 4.1 ALL dont recognize the decompressor of Quicktime 3.0
or 4.0. You have to install Quicktime 2.12 to make it work.
There is a similar problem described in Article Number: 104824
in TechInfo database at filemaker.com dated back 4/27/1998.
What is the problem? Is there a workaround?
