 Filemaker Server

Hi,

Just bought Filemaker server and just ran in to a really stupid problem. I
have three related databases which are shared and then uploaded to the
server, first of all is this the right way to do it?
When I open the database(s) with a client via hosts everything seams fine,
then I open it with another client still looks fine until I notice that the
first client is now hosting one of the databases? What's happening what have
I done wrong?
Tried it with several clients and the and it looks like the first client
always becomes a host of the databases.

 Filemaker Server

Hi Patrik,
check   File -> Sharing  on each database-file that yuo need.
The server will only open and share 'multiple user' databases.

 Filemaker Server
FMP Server application installed on your server.  All shared databases
placed in folder with FMP Server application.  OS file sharing turned OFF
for that folder.  FMP Server started (depends upon platform), automatically
opening databases in FMP Server.  Clients open databases via Hosts button.

My guess is that you don't have the databases stored on the server -or-
there are multiple copies of the databases on your network (with the same
names).

 Filemaker Server
The problem is solved, thanks. We had copies of the database on a network
share and that was the cause of all the problems.
