Help ~ Userspace too small ......

Hello ,
I try to insert one more typed table into my db2 , but it keeps show
the error below :

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DB21034E  The command was processed as an SQL statement because it was
not a
valid Command Line Processor command.  During SQL processing it
returned:
SQL0670N  The row length of the table exceeded a limit of "4005"
bytes.
(Regular table space "USERSPACE1".)  SQLSTATE=54010

How can I adjust the userspace1 to let it bigger ? Anybody have idea ?

Thank you .

Sincerely,
Jodie

You need to create a tablespace with larger pagesize (8K, 16K or 32K).
This tablespace will also need an equal sized bufferpool and temp
tablespace.
After you created them you need to add the 'in <larger tbspace>'
option to the create table statement.

You can find a lot of information about physical database design in
the Administration Guide.

Hope this helps.

Help ~ Userspace too small ......
Jodie, your USERSPACE1 table space is defined with a 4k page which has a
limit of 4055 char. for a single row.
You would need a table space with a page of 8k,16k, or 32k to satisgy
your insert in this table.
Or, look at the definition of the typed table and see which column can
be defined with a shorter length to keep you within 4005 chars.
If you can't then create a table space of proper page size(8,16,32) and
create your typed table in that one and then insert to your heart's
content!!

Help ~ Userspace too small ......
YOu can either use some CLOB/BLOB or LONG VARCHAR for some column types or
create the table in a tablespace with a bigger page size.

See SQL reference or search groups.google.com
