DB2 Connect PE and DB2 UDB Workgroup on Linux

I have been using DB2 UDB 7.2 Workgroup on Redhat 7.2.  It has worked
very well.  We are now wanting to access information from our AS/400.
I cannot get PE to connect to the AS/400.  I get:

SQL8002N  DRDA connect processing failed; a valid product license was
not
found.  SQLSTATE=42968

I have checked /var/lum/nodelock and Connect PE is there, but when I
do a:
db2licm -l
it only shows UDB 7.2 Workgroup license.

I have used 'db2licm -a' as both the instance admin and as root.  They
both claim 'success', but I still don't see the license for Connect
PE.

Any suggestions on how to get the Connect PE license to activate?

TIA,
Alan Letterman

Have you actually installed DB2 Connect PE? It is not part of DB2 UDB
Workgroup Edition.

Ye, I did.  I actually had UDB WG running first and then installed
Connect PE.  After much searching I found an obscure reference on an
IBM website that led me to create a link in the instance/cfg directory
to db2conpe.lvl.

As soon as I had the link it WORKED!

I think the 'real' solution may be to do a db2iupdt after installing
Connect PE on a running UDB system.  I will try this out on a second
system later today.
