 DB2 6.1 SQL0294N error on create database

After migrating from DB2 5.2 to 6.1 (under Windows NT 4.0, sp 5), one
of our database create scripts is now failing with:
SQL0294N The container is already in use. SQLSTATE=42730
The create database syntax is like so:
db2 create db junk on g: catalog tablespace managed by system using
('g:\csirdb\tblspcs\csircat') temporary tablespace managed by system
using ('g:\csirdb\tblspcs\csirtmp') user tablespace managed by system
using ('g:\csirdb\tblspcs\csirdta')
G: also happends to be the drive of the db2path (typically the
containers will be on different drives, but we allow the option of
putting them all on one drive).
Any suggestions as to why this worked under 5.2 and doesn't work under
6.1?
Thanks,
Derek Williams

One of the subdirectories specified as a container for the database must
have been used for a tablespace in V5.2 (or V6.1) and is still tagged as
belonging to that old tablespace.   You should see a file "sqltag.nam" in
the subdirectory in question (which may be identified by an entry in the
db2diag.log file).   You can delete all of the files in the subdirectory
or use the "db2untag" command to do cleanup.

 DB2 6.1 SQL0294N error on create database
Thanks, Bill. That was precisely the problem.
Someone had created the DBs under 5.2, and (I think) dropped them under
6.1. The drop didn't clean up the sqltag.nam file. In some cases, it
didn't clean up the dat & inx files, either.
Thanks for the help!
Derek
