 Advanced Text Searching Question

I'm looking into using DB2 for a project and was looking for some
detailed information about its advanced text searching capabilities and
so far haven't been able to find anything on the IBM site.  Roughly what
I'm looking for is something similar to Oracle's text cartridge that
will allow dictionary-type searches (stemming searches?).  For example,
a search for 'car' would also return 'automobile'.  I'm not familiar
with Oracle either but I'm told it does do this.  Any pointers to
information or experiences doing this sort of thing greatly appreciated.

DB2 has a text extender to help with this.
