NT Java call to OS/390 Stored Procedure
We have a java program on windows 2000, that calls a stored procedure
on db2 os/390 v6 that fails on the windows box with a sql0973N which
highlited the QUERY_HEAP.

the db2 application heap size has been increased to 50000 from 5000.
Which made no difference to the problem.

The actual java statement that we suspect is:

callablestatement.setObject(1,bytearray,Types.BLOB)

The blob is really only 20 bytes long (perhaps a SLOB)

The DB2 UDB environment is DB2 V7.2 fixpack 7.

Thanks.

NT Java call to OS/390 Stored Procedure

   Peter,

I don't know much about OS/390, but in workstation DB2, the
"QUERY_HEAP_SZ" and "APPLHEAPSZ" are 2 different things.  "QUERY_HEAP_SZ" is
a database manager config parm, and "APPLHEAPSZ" is a database config parm.

If the message is indicating you're out of QUERY_HEAP, then "db2 update
dbm cfg using QUERY_HEAP_SZ ...".
