 Questions on DB2 logging

Consider the scenario where LOGPRIMARY=3 and LOGSECOND=2 (default). An
application starts a UOW and DB2 allocates the first primary log file.
This application then goes idle before the UOW is completed. Another
application starts a UOW and continues using the free space in the
first primary log and spills to the last log file that can be
allocated (5th log). When the second application commits, will the
space previously used by it be available to other applications (in the
case of circular logging) or the log files except the first primary
log (since it is still active) becomes archived (in the case of
archival logging).

Thanks in advance for any input.

No, it will not. Because the application one is still open.
