Restore question under DB2 UDB 5.2 for Windows NT
Ex:  DB2 restore database testdb user xxxxx using yyyy
         from d:\backup\files to f:

In the above example, I'm trying to restore the database to the F: drive.  The
database files are originally on the G: drive.  Is it necessary for me to define
the DMS tablespace containers because the move is to a different drive letter.
I want to keep the same container size and name except for the drive location.

thanks in advance

It depends on how you created them. If you created them with a
relative path to the database directory restoring to another drive
will work without a problem.
If you specified a full path when creating them you need to do a
redirected restore. Check the restore command in the Command Reference
for a example of how to perform a redirected restore.

Hope this helps.
