Problem while restoring to an existing database..

Hi,
When i'm Restoring a backed up database image to an existing
database, it is throwing a warning,"The target database will be
overwritten by the backup version. ".
I'm calling this restore using API from my program and i would like
to continue with this overwrite so that the image is restored by
overwriting, without throwing this warning. Is there any way of doing
it? I tried with "SQLUD_NOINTERRUPT" option, but the same warning
appears and the function is coming out without restoring.

Is there anyway of specifying the REPLACE EXISTING (as in CLP) or its
equivalent in the API, "sqlurestore"?

 How to handle this?
Thanks,
 Arun.
