 Problem with command load

Hi, I'm Kattya Medina,

We have a problem with the command "load". The system characteristics
are: computer IBM RISC/6000 model H50, AIX 4.3.3 operating system, IBM
UDB DB2 v. 5.2 for AIX (naturally). The risc has 2 GB in memory and 16
GB for database. Our database has SMS tablespaces, then we have three
default tablespaces: SYSCATSPACE, TEMPSPACE1 and USERSPACE1.
We want to run the utility "load" for load data into one table. We run
the command as in CLPas in the control center, but the database can't
terminate the execution. Both cases the message displayed is:

SQL10013N The specified library "/usr/lib/libsort.a" could not be
loaded.

The situation is strange because we had utilized this utility three
months ago and the operation was correct. We don't know when the
problem rises up.
The problem is very hard, the user tablespace stays in "load pending
state" and we can't terminate this state. We have tried rollforward
this state with: load with remote file and replace, load with terminate
and all have failed. In these cases the message is the same:

SQL10013N The specified library "/usr/lib/libsort.a" could not be
loaded.

To can work with the database just we have to restore the database from
a backup, worst situation by our job.

Thank you for your help

Kattya Medina

 Problem with command load

Hmmm - I think Miro already answered this for you earlier? Here is his

    Kattya,

Unset the DB2SORT db2 registry variable (simply issue 'db2set
DB2SORT='on
the command line). This variable can be used to specify the loaction of
an
external sorting package to be used by db2 load, there are a few 3rd
party vendors
providing specialized sorting packages. If the variable is set, db2
will assume it points to a
dynamically loadable library and will attempt to load it. It appears
that in your case the
variable is set, but the library cannot be loaded.

    Regards, Miro

 Problem with command load
Bob - Miro,

Thank you very much for your answer. Miro was correct, the DB2SORT
variable was set in database, then I unset it and load command ran
correctly.

Regards
Kattya
