How to ceate new user with password in db2 8.1?
I just swithed from oracle to db2 and using db2 8.1 for windows.

in db2 control center database panel, I created a new user, but found
no way to set a password for this new user. the problem was that when
I tried to bind this new user for app, the erro message said incorrect
username or passwd.

Can any one tell me how to set passwd or how to create new user with
passwd?

Thanks

DB2 uses the operating system for password checking, so just change the
password in your operating system.

How to ceate new user with password in db2 8.1?
Use the windows gui or the Net User command.

On the os side : authentication (are you who you say you are/login)
On DB2 side: authorization. (access to objects/grant/revoke)

In addition, once a user is created, the CONNECT SQL statement may be used to change the password.
