 Schema in DB2
Hello Friends,

I have a query regarding DB2UDB. Can a table created by user1 be
accessed by user2? If so how. I am new to DB2. Please help. Is there
any way to grant the rights of a table to another user.

Thanks in advance.

 Schema in DB2

It is quiet possible to grant the rights of a table to another user.
For a table you can grant, select, insert, update, delete, index etc to
other users.

Refer to the "grant" statement syntax in the SQL Reference book.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

 Schema in DB2
Additionaly to authorization issues (GRANT/REVOKE) you also need to get
access to those tables that
are likely living in a different schema. You can either qualify the
table with its schema name,
you can set teh CURRENT SCHEMA special registe, or you can create an
ALIAS (somewhat like an Oracle synonym) in your prefered schema that
points to teh table you want to use.
