 Problem with DB2 Stored Procedures

We have problems getting our DB2 stored procedures working properly on MVS.
Both the stored procedure and the calling program were written in COBOL.
The stored procedure works, because we have put in display statements and
it executes select and update statements correctly. The problem comes in
when we try to pass a parameter to the stored procedure. It is only one
parameter defined in both the calling program and the strored procedure as
PIC X(10) and in the parmlist of the SYSIBM.SYSPROCEDURES table as PARM1
CHAR(10) IN, but when it is displayed in the stored procedure it is
gibberish and when we move anything into it to pass back, we get an 0C4.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Alfred,

Have you stopped and started the Stored Procedures address space.

This 'may' make a difference.
If you have already done this I appologise for wasting your time.
