Correlate UDB SNAPSHOT stats WITH DB2/OS390 Accounting

Hi,
Has anyone gone through the exercise of collecting DB2 SNAPSHOT DCS
statistics and then tried to correlate them with DB2 Accounting statistics
for Db2 OS390.

I am in the process and am tryin to explain the significant differences (eg
Hostresponse = .6 sec, Db2 ELAPSED = .3 seconds)  between the SNAP SHOT HOST
RESPONSE time and the DB2 ACCOUNTING ELAPSED TIME / IN_DB2 TIME.

I am finding the COMMITS ,ABORTS and SQL counts  correlate fairly well. In
particular the ABORTS often are exact. I wouldn't expect these to match
perfectly and they don't but would have liked to have seen a better
correlation in the HOST and ELAPSED times.

Unfortunately the documentation in this area is limited. The UDB System
Monitor Guide and Reference contains many errors  and does not cover what I
need.

At the moment I am putting it down to:-
1. Network time (we have a gigabyte ethernet link so should be minor)
2. Connection times (we are using Websphere     Pooling so would expect this
not to be a major issue - although I am suspicious of this)
3. DDF processing - not captured in the DB2 Accounting record.
4. Me!

Perhaps the V8 doco may be better
Any help appreciated,
Richard

Correlate UDB SNAPSHOT stats WITH DB2/OS390 Accounting

Only thing i could find is

v7 what's new (zos  os390 etc.)
Reporting server elapsed time at the workstation
Workstations accessing DB2 data can now request that DB2 return the elapsed
time of the server, which is used to process a request in reply from the DB2
subsystem. The server elapsed time allows remote clients to quickly
determine the
amount of time it takes for DB2 to process a request. The server elapsed
time does
not include any network delay time, which allows workstation clients, in
real-time, to
determine performance bottlenecks among the client, the network, and DB2.

Richard,

All snapshot value accounting is being done on the gateway, so time lost to
comms transmissions gets 'lost' we track the time from right before passing
the sql statement to the host, until we recieve back a response...

Thanks for replys,
By the way my environment is
UDB 7.2(EE) AIX and DB2 6.1 on OS390.
