 Automatic archival of logs/image copies

Hi, my experience is mostly on DB2 on MVS. Recently we are developing an
application on NT running UDB V6.1

Our management is reluctant to purchase things like ADSM. So based on
whatever we have on NT & UDB V6.1, is there a good way (without spending
extra money) to archive away (and at some point to delete away) the
logs/image copies  to tape, without human intervention? There don't seem to
have examples on userexit in manuals for UDB NT.

At the moment we do not retain logs, but we intend to turn on logretain.
Hence the need for automatic archival of logs/image copies is even more.

Mike,

sure there is an example how to use ADSM on NT with DB2 UDB.

I your directory \sqllib\samples\c look for db2uext2.cadsm.
This is your solution. It's only an example, you can wriet you own
perhaps in Java.
