Trouble with Replication and ASNPATH

 Trouble with Replication and ASNPATH

I'm trying to get replication working on NT and 7.2.2. I am unable to
start the NT service "Replication". It aborts with an NT error code of
1067. It produces a  log file called ASNSERV.LOG with an entry of:

FATAL ASNPATH get

I've tried manipulating the ASNPATH environment a million ways and
rebooting (yawn...) to try to fix the problem. I've tried renaming,
moving, playing with upper case vs. lower case (for both the asnpath
variable and the ntserv.asn file). All with no success. Can someone
post an example of a valid ASNPATH setting?

Many thanks
Evan

 Trouble with Replication and ASNPATH

Let me know if this helps:

Problem: I received system error 1067 trying to start the Capture or Apply
program
as a Windows NT Service.

Error code 1067 occurs under the following circumstances:

   * You did not specify the user ID and password and the Capture or Apply
program is trying to run on the system account.
   * You did not specify the ASNPATH environment variable correctly or you
did not reboot the computer after updating the value of ASNPATH.
   * There is no NTSERV.ASN file in the path specified by ASNPATH.
   * The NTSERV.ASN file does not have the line:
         dbname pathname \asnccp.exe <parameters>
     followed by CRLF.
